Edward Green Trunk Show Spring 2009

I’m very pleased to announce that Leffot will host our next Edward Green Trunk Show on Saturday May 16th. Please join Mr. Robert Godley of Edward Green and myself from 11-6 p.m. as we happily assist you in creating your own unique pair of shoes or boots.

The Shepton Edwardian Antique on the 888 Last*

Edward Green’s MTO program allows you to work with existing patterns, leathers, and lasts to create an individual pair of shoes. You personalize it by selecting the colors, calf or suede, sole type, single, double or rubber and in about 14 weeks your shoes will be on their way to you.

As a special courtesy to our clients, the Edward Green single pair make up fee of $100 will be waived on all orders placed on the day of the event. This is a great opportunity to view many Edward Green styles in one place; I hope you’ll join us.

In case you need a little inspiration to get your creative juices flowing, click here.

What is the pricing and payment for ordering a MTO? Full Upfront or Half/Half?

With MTO orders we take a 50% deposit when the order is placed and the balance when the shoes arrive. Should be a great show.

Referring to my EG brochure, I would have said that the colour of the pair of Dovers shown is Birch.

    Andy,
Colors in print and on monitors are not always the same as they are n reality. These Dover’s are indeed Acorn.
By the way check back to this post as I will change the image of the shoes that have been ordered in the past this week leading up to the show when I have time.

If you were refering to mine, Steven, they were Maple.

I may order the Dovers in Bauxite! Bauxite is an incredible color!

Steve, any ideas to do Leffot Online Shop?

I just placed an order for the Hythe in Bauxite for another commenter on this post. He also owns the Dover in “Maple” Antique.

    Tim,

I have been intrigued by Bauxite for quite some time and I am the one who ordered the Hythe in Bauxite (and who Steven was kind enough to procure the Maple Dovers for).

I think the Dover would look fantastic in Bauxite–really sporty and versatile.

In fact, the only Dover I’m not too wild about is black. Just about everything else works.

Its a darn shame they won’t/can’t do a Dover or any of the other hand-stiched apron shoes with shell cordovan. In whiskey shell, that might be my dream shoe.

    Best,

    Jamie C.

I love whiskey shell. That leather is soo sublime for me! I have some bespoke shoes coming from a Hungarian shoemaker, who bought enough whiskey to make a whole cut, a derby, and an oxford. I’m very set. I’ll get him to do a whiskey shell boot next!

Let me know if you are interested for a whiskey shell overload!

    Back to EG,

But yes, the Dover, the Southwold, and the Oundles are incredible in Bauxite. You must see it in Bauxite! Here is a picture: http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo129/mtivin/2009125.jpg

The Hythe is easily one of EG’s most classic designs ever. That’s also on my list.

    Best,
    Tim.

    Tim,

The obvious Hungarian firm’s name would start with a “V,” but I’m going to guess it, in fact, starts with a “K.”

    Tell me I’m right.

Love the Oundle. Was considering a whiskey shell oundle with a toe medalion.

    It’s “V”. :)
