Wing It

Fall is in the air and wing tips are on my mind, apparently I’m not alone. There’s been a sudden spike in the number of clients looking for classic full brogues with double soles. I wear a couple of these models; I find them to be both versatile and classic. Here’s the line up.

Church’s Grafton Sandalwood Polished Binder, 173 Last

Church’s Grafton R Brown Nevada Calf, Dainite Soles, 173 Last

Alden Longwing Color 8 Shell Cordovan, Barrie Last

Church’s Grafton Black Polished Binder, 173 Last

FYI: We are considering a longwing make up for spring 2010. Tan suede, Barrie last on single flex welt soles with natural edges. Feedback welcome…

Longwing makes me be crazy. So~~~~~ lovely shoes~.

Do you remember me? I’ve been Leffot in July and bought SEBAGO green boatshoe. I’m Korean. You showed me your blog and some good shoes that you will buy. When I visit in NY again, I go to Leffot for seeing and buying good shoes~.

    Steven:

Tan suede Alden long wings (Barrie last) would be awesome. I was looking for this exact shoe this past Spring but it was nowhere to be found. Sign me up for a paid prearrival/special order if you do this (size 9D).

    Hey steven,

Long time i havent been on the blog. Actually, long time I havent been to NYC. Let me first start by saying, your Corthay post was amazing. Moreover, the pictures you posted about the EG trunk shoe was incredible, I just cant keep my eyes off the southwold in dark brown, with grain leather around the eyeled.

anywayz, full brogues are in trend this fall and thats amazing…may i suggest you something?!?!?…a nice brogue in tan suede would be amazing…

    Love the longwings for fall.

Taking nothing away from the Church’s which are nice-looking shoes, the Alden’s lines are so much cleaner.

    Great shoes

So true I wore my color 8 longwings today. Classic American style in classic fall colors. It doesn’t get much better.

If you could get the Alden longwing in Whiskey — a color Alden does in Horween shell cordovan — I’ll be buying. And I surmise there’d be many other buyers too. I’m partial to light brown, especially a distinctive light brown, and I know I’m not alone. Could Alden do this for Leffot?

Count me in for a tan suede long wing. Is it possible to have a double flex welt?
