Natural Indy

Indy boots come in all shapes and colors but none as natural as these. When Alden told us about Natural Chromexcel® last winter we were all over it, and ordered up these Indy’s in a heartbeat. These boots; made to our specifications are on the TruBalance last with cork neoprene soles and 360º natural flat welts.

I own three pairs of Indy boots and it looks like it’s going to be four soon not to mention what we have lined up for spring, but we’ll save that for another post.

Steven – How do these fit relative to a Barrie last? Is the 11d roomy? Do you have any 11d left? Thanks.

How does this “age?” Does it get darker or lighter? How about durability in the winter elements? Thanks

  20. Posted 9 September 2010 at 7:56 am | Permalink

    Jim
Chromexcel stands up very well in inclement weather however you need to treat these with some leather dressing such as Montana Pitch Blend.

The sizing is similar to the Barrie last.

So many sizes are gone! There must be a lot of Alden snipers! Will the Pitch blend dressing darken the Indy’s patina? Can the dressing apply on the Greenwich?

  23. Posted 10 September 2010 at 8:04 am | Permalink

    Alex
The Montana Pitch Blend will darken the Indy’s some. Not recommended for the Greenwich instead spray them with a water & stain protector.

    Steven,

My girlfriend bought me a pair of the natural indys and my shoelaces tore because of the speed hooks. Do you happen to have a spare pair or two that I can purchase or point me in the right direction?

    Hi Steve,

Regarding treating the Chromexcel leather. I’m confused about the whole thing. I heard that a good treatment is either the Venetian Cream for conditioning an luster, and neat’s foot oil is also considered suitable. What about the Saphir Renovateur and Crema Alpina?
