Little by little women are dipping a toe into the Made to Order shoe pond. One model that is a currently in favor is the Edward Green Byron, which is from the EG Ladies Collection. In addition several women have made to order men’s boots such as the Shannon and Alderley.
The main differences between men’s and women’s shoes are the last, weight and proportions. Women’s shoes are narrower and lighter and in general more delicate in design while the men’s although graceful are wider and heavier.
So ladies depending on your foot size and the look you’d like to achieve there is certainly an Edward Green shoe for you.

Hey. Thanks for the update on this footwear option for women. I didn’t realize that Edward Green offered their gent’s styles in sizes for women. Would this always be a custom order request or do they have some stock, unisex styles on offer? I believe that EG used to manufacture scotch grain oxford and ankle boots w/dainite soles for Holland & Holland. I’d love to track down an updated version of one of their “field” shoes. What’s involved with a custom order? Full fitting or just selecting a style from the existing catalog?
Thanks for being one of the few US resources for heritage footwear for women.

Edward Green makes great shoes for both men and women and we’re happy to be able to provide both.

Does narrower and lighter also mean less expensive for our beautiful breasted friends?
Steven,
These look very tempting, even though I have similar pair! Do you have pics of other ladies’ styles besides the Byron that are available from EG?
Thanks

Besides the Byron there is a single monk strap a cap toe oxford and a loafer. I’ll send you some pictures.
