Ivy Loafer Returns

Summer is almost here and it’s time to start thinking about summer footwear. If you’re looking to add a lightweight flexible loafer to your wardrobe this season you owe it to yourself to consider the Leffot Ivy.

Clean, smooth and simple this loafer is much more than it appears to be on the surface. Made of Genuine Horween unlined shell cordovan they are incredibly supple, flexible and lightweight, a joy to slip on and loaf around in. The amount of handwork that goes into a simple pair like these is staggering.

Made in Lewiston Maine by Rancourt & Co Shoecrafters expressly for Leffot, their commitment to the trade is represented through the three generations of shoemakers by way of quality, knowledge and commitment to exceptional shoemaking.

These shoes are completely hand sewn on true moccasin construction so your feet are wrapped in cordovan top and bottom. Handsewn cordovan is extremely labor intensive. It takes the sewer approximately seventy percent more time to sew a cordovan shoe because there is simply no margin for error.

Unlined shell cordovan loafers are not easily found. We think you’ll agree these may well be the perfect shoes for spring and summer wear.

Wow, green ones this year?! Very nice! I love the colour 8s I bought last year. I would love to see these in a brighter red, or even a calf version. ;)

    Steven:

How do these fit? True to size? If I am a 9D in the Quoddy’s what would you recommend in this? And is the natural CXL penny on the same last as these?

These are beautiful – I love that they have a high vamp.

Will the CXL penny you mention have the same high vamp?

    Dear Steven,

These shoes are handsome! I wonder what size would fit me, and if you still have the navy in that size. As a comparison, I wear Alden Barrie in 7.5D, Alden Plaza in 8.0D, EG in 7.5, and G&G in 7.5.
