How about using this product on Wolverine 1000mile Addison? Will it darken the colour?

We highly recommend this product on Wolverine 1000 mile Addison boots. It will darken the color a bit.

How did this do in the Kudu Indy’s? I’ve been hesitant to put it on mine.

    Hi Steven,

Do you reccomend to treat my brand new Indys in natural CXL with Montana Pitch or Saphir Reno before the first wear?

    thanks

Renov is fine but for water repellent MPB is the best.

I’ve heard that certain waterproofing products – such as Sno-Seal – can prevent a shoe from being able to be resoled in the future. If I am not mistaken, I believe it has to do with most cobblers not being able to work with the leather due to the ingredients of the product.

With that said, I have a new pair of CXL Indys that I’d like to use MPB on in preparation for winter, but am weary due to the fear that it might render the boot unable to be resoled. Have you heard of this or have any experience with it? I don’t want to start any rumors. The product looks great and I’d love to give it a try – but also want to have my Indys for years i.e. with as many resoles as possible. Thanks for your time.

    James,
Sorry but I have never heard of a Goodyear welted shoe not being able to be resoled because of too much waterproofing. MPB is an all natural product and works very well on CXL leather. I can’t imagine going thru winter without it.

You suggest the Montana over Sno Seal?

    Dan
I have never used Sno Seal some of our clients do and they are happy with it. MPB is all natural and we like the results very much.

Thanks, Steven. How frequently do you recommend doing this, and before first wear (I plan to buy a pair this weekend)? Also, do you recommend a regular oil as well – weekly?

For the chromexcel indy boot, what would be the best conditioner to use that won’t darken the leather?

Ideally would like to soften the leather, and possibly even lighten with wear with time.

I just purchased a pair of Wolverine Courtland’s. I live in San Francisco and have heard conflicting views on whether I should treat them or not. It doesn’t snow here, but I want to make sure their protected from rain, stain, etc. Do you recommend treating them with Montana Pitch Blend? Also, what are some general things I should do to maintain the boots? Unfortunately, the tongue was already nicked up from the shoe lace holes.

Yes MPB on Wolverine boots is our recommendation and a great treatment for the leather, enjoy.

    Steven,
Do you suggest using the MPB bi-weekly, or once per season and then condition with a boot oil every other week or so?

There is no set time table use as needed depending on the weather and how often you wear your boots.

I just purchased the Wolverine Krause with Horween’s Dublin leather. Is it okay to use MTB on this boot?

    Thanks in advance.
