Alden x Leffot Day Tripper Boot

We designed our Alden x Leffot Day Tripper boot on the Grant last in Genuine Horween Shell Cordovan.

Ravello cordovan is something like the Unicorn of cordovan colors often talked about but rarely seen. It is a warm deep chestnut color that pairs well with almost anything.

These boots feature single leather oil dipped flex soles, 360° flat welt, and double row stitched cap toes. This is an awesome boot for autumn and winter wear.

Hey Steven, as always: great looking boots.

Do you recommend going with the same size on the Grant as on the Barrie? Happen to have these in a size 13?

    Cheers,

Yep, they’re people that need to pre-order if they want a shoe in their size! (I’m a C or a B)

    Jacob,
We will likely place a re-order for this boot. Let us know if you would like to add a pair in your size.

how do these fit in comparison to the wolverine 1000 mile? If similar, I’d like them in a 9.

  18. Posted 1 October 2011 at 10:00 am | Permalink

    Mark
Both boots run a little large. The Wolverine’s are cut fuller than the Alden. In general you will need to size down a half size in the Alden’s. I hope that helps.

Do you have a pair in 13D left? I called and left a voicemail regarding these.

Any chance these get re-ordered? These are some of the most beautiful Alden’s I have ever seen. Period.

Also, do you have a preorder/presale list for all your shoes? Would love to be proactive with opportunities for new Aldens instead of hoping you have my size once the shoe is announced.

Steven: What color polish do you use for Ravello? Does Saphir make one that works without changing the natural leather color too much?

  23. Posted 2 October 2011 at 1:48 pm | Permalink

    Lawrence
We recommend Saphir light brown wax polish for Ravello cordovan.

    Hello Steven,

How does the Grant last fit relative to the Hampton? I’m a good fit in 7.5B in the Hampton. I’m a 7 in length in the Barrie but every width I’ve tried has had a heel that’s too wide. What would you suggest on the Grant?

  29. Posted 5 October 2011 at 5:05 pm | Permalink

    Jacob
I’m not certain since we don’t stock shoes on the Hampton last but I imaging you will have to size down. You might want to ask the question on Style Forum’s Alden thread.

I love this shoes, if I wear 8 or 8.5 for Indy, do I wear the same for this? Any chance for pre-order again? I am waiting for a next run. Besides, how much is it?
    Thanks.

You will need to size up a half size from the Trubalance last for this boot. Re-order has been placed for fall/winter 2012.

Oh no, that means I have to wait for the next run in 2013, any chance to put me in for 2012?

    Thanks Steven

  39. Posted 23 January 2012 at 11:11 am | Permalink

We have an order in for fall/winter 2012. let us know your size and we’ll advise availability.

I believe 8.5D for this boot is fine to me, I wear size 8.5 for my indy, still have plenty of room for my foot. So if this boot is more narrow than indy’s last, then I should be fine with same size (I hope). Steven, I suppose you should get my email address from this post and please advise me, I don’t want to miss the chance. I am a customer from Hong Kong, do you deliver to HK? And how much would it cost? Thank you Steven.

    Hi-

I wanted to see what it would take to get in on the next order of the ravello day trippers. Absolutely perfect boot. Seems like the comments on the site indicate another order might be in next fall/winter- do you guys take preorders at all?

    All the best,
