The Storm

By all accounts including mine hurricane Sandy was an unprecedented event. It is impossible to convey its fury and swiftness which brought with it flooding, fire and darkness.

In the 23 years I’ve lived in New York we have endured other blackouts, but this is different. And while we have no power and remain closed until it’s restored, we are extremely grateful for our safety and our friends who have reached out and offered to assist us.

We will continue to reply to emails and our online shop remains open.

Steve — I am happy to know that you and your family made it through the storm all right — not to mention your business. My friend Chris Dickens is a refugee here in DC and is on his way to my office now. He was in Paris when the storm hit ( and evidently has a new pair of Lobbs to show for it) , but he could not fly back into NYC. He’s hoping to get a train back as far as Newark tomorrow.

I wish you much success for your EG show on Fri. and wish I could be there. I’m gong to lean on Chris to get down there in my stead. Take care, Ben

    Steven,

I hope that all is well for you, your staff, and your families given the recent disaster. Your generous donation to the American Red Cross is unprecedented for a business in your situation. I wish you all the best, sir.
