Alden 405C

Alden’s Indy Boot is a classic work boot designed for comfort, support, and endurance. It was not, however, designed for winter. Fortunately, this problem is  solved easily enough.

The addition of commando soles to the classic 405 design makes for an entirely new boot, with added traction for slippery surfaces and a lighter weight for nimbly dodging around patches of ice and snow.

Don’t be afraid to wear these once the snow melts though. Smooth brown cowhide makes for a more refined boot than most, which increases wearability and versatility, and lugged soles are suitable for almost any terrain. If you only own one boot, it should be this one.

Steven, You r not the only one not making available Alden’s above12. I suppose its a business decision but a 13 (12h Alden) does not seem like a freak size. Some sites carry 13 which makes no sense being that would actually be 13h. By having12h’s for your exclusives u’d be doing something no one else is. U have 4 great Alden’s none of which I can have. I know about pre-orders but the window is so short it’s easily missed. Feel free to publish. Like to see the response. Sure did enjoy window shopping anyway.

    Floyd,
I appreciate your feedback regarding Alden sizes that we order. We order a wide range which has grown over time. With regards to Alden shoes, we get requests for many non-stock sizes from 5.5 to 14 and various widths. While it’s not possible to order all sizes Alden makes we do offer the opportunity to pre-order our make up models.

Below is a link to our Alden pre-order policy.

We have added your email to our list so you can be made aware of coming models.

    Steven,
Thanks for the response and info on pre-ordering. If u go to FarFetch.com, Browns of London has a great looking “Indy”suede desert boot. Love to see u do something along that line. I’d buy them but can’t justify the price. I pre-ordered the Roy boot through Context with the same sole. Hope it’s as comfortable as it looks. Thanks again.
