Alden first introduced us to Horween Natural Chromexcel in January 2010. Since then our Natural Longwing’s and Natural Indy boots have become something of a staple at Leffot and we have received delivery of both models.

Natural CXL is a wonderful leather the color is totally versatile and goes great with denim, or khaki for a perfect casual look. With wear and care it develops a patina that looks lived in and rich and much better with age. Here’s an example of our Natural LWB.

The LWB is on the Barrie last and the Indy is on the Trubalance.

Alden x Leffot Whiskey Tanker Boot

In case you haven’t noticed we are featuring new Alden shoes and boots this week in honor of American Thanksgiving. Yet another couple of boxes rolled in today and, not surprisingly, they were full of beautiful boots.

These Tanker or NST boots in the parlance of our times may look tough, but they also feature a handmade touch.

The classic split toe apron design is carefully stitched by hand, bringing a simple yet beautiful pattern to the front of your boot, that will look better with each polishing. The stitching helps to bring out the wonderful depth of the Whiskey Cordovan one of the more choice colors offered by Alden.

These boots, made expressly for Leffot are on the Barrie last with 360-dergree flat welt, commando soles with five brown agatine eyelets and four speed hooks.

Alden x Leffot Saddle Shoe Re-Issue

By popular demand we have re-issued the Alden x Leffot saddle shoe in Color 8 shell cordovan and Brown Alpine grain. These are just the right colors for autumn. Built on Alden’s Flex Welt soles these shoes are low profile and lightweight.

Alden x Leffot Naval Boot

A bit of understated elegance just walked in the door here at Leffot. These Horween Shell Cordovan boots are a versatile addition to your wardrobe that spans from jeans to a navy or grey suit. Their classic, simple design, reminiscent of vintage US Naval boots, makes them a three-season workhorse, made expressly for Leffot.

Black shell cordovan really doesn’t get the love it deserves. It has a lacquered glow that you can only truly appreciate in person, and yet it maintains its shine with little care or maintenance.

The double leather black bottom soles, with a 360-degree flat welt, enhance the boot’s simplicity while adding durability and comfort. Designed with nine black agatine eyelets and black* waxed laces these boots are spit-shined and ready to serve.

We’ve got a veritable rainbow of Chromexcel Quoddy Maliseet’s in stock here at Leffot. You can choose a classic brown or the unique Natural and Navy Chromexcel leathers.

These four eyelet moccasin’s are an ideal fall casual shoe, and all three colors go great with the foliage. The Red Brick camp soles are a perfect accent to the leather as well as comfortable and durable support for you foot. The water resistant Horween Chromexcel leather will keep unexpected precipitation at bay and the deerskin lining will keep your feet warm and relaxed.

Church’s x Leffot Kaber

Made in Northampton, England by Church’s & Co, these brogues have loads of style a bit of a dandy shoe you might say. First re-issued for Leffot in 2010 in Brown Nevada Calf today we introduce the new spectator Kaber in Walnut Nevada Calf and Black Scotch Grain.

Goodyear welted on the familiar and best fitting 173 last these are shoes sporty and dashing with flannel and corduroy pants, and work very well with jeans. If your looking for something a little different and unique in footwear this fall your search ends here.

Gary Cooper: Enduring Style

On Tuesday November 15th The Sartorialist is hosting a book signing at Leffot for long-time friend and Sartorialist contributor G. Bruce Boyer. It will be the first place the book is available anywhere.

The book is entitled Gary Cooper: Enduring Style and features family snapshots of the Cooper clan. The intimate, relaxed quality of the images (shot mainly by his wife Rocky) is very charming and most have never been seen or published before.

It’s a wonderful book for men looking for old school style inspiration, fans of vintage photography and Old Hollywood glamor and great for women looking for a gift for their man.

Alden Chamois Longwing Blucher

Here’s something you might not have expected. We’ve taken Alden’s classic longwing blucher design, used for decades on heavy cordovan brogues, and made it with Horween oiled Tobacco Chamois leather.

Along with commando soles, these shoes are a surprisingly elegant mix of rugged and dress shoe style. With water resistant leather and a heavy duty lugged sole that can take a beating and keep you standing, these shoes will help keep you dry and looking sharp.

Viberg x Leffot Hiker Boots

We’ve just received a new batch of Viberg Hiker boots, including a new model that we detailed with Viberg exclusively for Leffot. These boots are hand built by Viberg Boot Co.in Victoria, British Columbia. Each boot is made of thick full-grain leather and feature the Viberg stamp on the outside.

The uppers are fully leather lined with no cardboard or plastic heel counters or toe box. These boots are entirely leather on leather through and through. We’ve mounted them on Vibram soles for no nonsense all terrain positraction.

These boots have quite a unique and classic look. With your choice of white Christy, black lugged, or black ripple soles they will lend themselves to more outfits than you can imagine, from the relaxed to the adventurous. If you own one pair of hiking boots in this life make it a great one. These are boots for a lifetime, wear them hard and wear them well and don’t worry they can certainly take it.

Alden Atom Blucher Re-Issue

The Atom blucher was originally part of the Alden’s Foot Balance System made on the Truflare last (orthopedic line). Our Atom’s been tweaked a bit here and there and is made on the Tremont last.

We detailed these shoes with versatility in mind; they can be worn equally well casually or for business. The soles are single leather bone bottoms with antiques edges, which are both light and flexible. The Tremont last fits similar to the Barrie but has a round higher toe box with a slight chiseled drop that adds a bit of formality that the Barrie lacks.

The sizing is the same as the Barrie; drop down a half size but in our opinion the Tremont has the advantage of a more positive heel fit. These shoes are beyond versatile and incredibly comfortable. If you’re in the market for a great all around shoe this is it.
