The newest arrival by Gaziano & Girling is the Burlington in black calfskin. We love the formality of black oxfords but these shoes also have great style, which is something not easily found in other captoe oxfords.
That’s not really surprising to us though because G&G make some of the most stylish and sophisticated English shoes today.

This is a re-issue of one of our favorite shoes. The tan suede longwing is a dream to wear and easy on the eyes. Soft luxurious suede and double flex soles make these shoes ultra comfortable.
Made on the Barrie last these are a great looking shoe for casual outfits.

People always say that the devil is in the details and there’s no better example of the truth in that statement than the one at hand.
Two of our customers ordered very similar shoes from Alfred Sargent. Both are the Alex, Alfred Sargent’s version of the classic jodhpur boot, in black suede with single leather soles. One customer, however, ordered a classic black edge while the other requested a natural edge. Its the difference between an elegant dress boot and a sporty, eclectic boot.

We now have two new colors available in our Chromexcel Elston Belt: Albany Tan and Dark Olive. Dark olive is a earthy brownish-green, while Albany tan is a bright rusty-tan. Both are nicely rendered in the deep tones of Horween Chromexcel leather
You can use these to match Olive and Light Brown colored shoes, or just to show a little variety and color in an everyday outfit. Horween Chromexcel leather makes for beautiful, quality casual belts.

Now that winter seems to be settling in on most parts of the country we thought it might be a good time to re-post this video.
So many have asked us how to treat and protect their boots for winter that we’ve decided to put together a short video. Caring for your boots is not very difficult and if you take a little time to work on them it’ll go a long way to help protecting them.
The frequency of dressing your boots depends on the weather. You can’t over do it but you don’t have to go gonzo either. If it’s very wet do it more say once a week, if it’s not then once a month should be fine. If you live in a cold area the dry heat in your home will require you to dress them more often. There’s no definitive schedule but you’ll begin to know when just by looking at the condition of your boots.
Alden’s Indy Boot is a classic work boot designed for comfort, support, and endurance. It was not, however, designed for winter. Fortunately, this problem is solved easily enough.
The addition of commando soles to the classic 405 design makes for an entirely new boot, with added traction for slippery surfaces and a lighter weight for nimbly dodging around patches of ice and snow.
Don’t be afraid to wear these once the snow melts though. Smooth brown cowhide makes for a more refined boot than most, which increases wearability and versatility, and lugged soles are suitable for almost any terrain. If you only own one boot, it should be this one.

American shoemakers such as Alden do wingtips so well these days that its easy to forget that the concept of a brogued shoe is originally from the British Isles. The wingtip shoe evolved out of the classic English country shoe, made with holes to let water out easily while hunting pheasants and ducks.
The Sandringham wingtip in Dark Oak and Walnut Country Calf epitomizes the look and spirit of classic English country footwear, with a slightly rougher, richer look than its city cousins. But don’t be afraid to wear these to town. With beautifully textured pebble grain country calf, double leather soles, and its distinctive “thistle” pattern at the side, these will turn sober city heads all day long.

In addition a layer of Thinsulate® will keep your dogs warm well below freezing. Surprising light and comfortable, your feet will have no problem standing for extended periods even while ice fishing.
No you probably won’t wear these to the office but when push comes to shove and the winter settles in you’ll be dry & warm in a pair of Northman.
