The Dover

There’s not a lot you can say about the Edward Green Dover that hasn’t already been said. It’s arguably the quintessential EG shoe. This classic English derby can be worn with confidence and pride because it’s one of the finest styles in Edward Green’s collection.

Stories of the Dover’s handsewn apron are legendary; the closing is done with pig bristles because they’re finer than needles. It takes years to master the skill and only grade A1 closers are allowed to do it. It’s rather remarkable when you think about closing a shoe with bristles.

These are robust, well-built shoes ideal for less formal occasions when you need to look smart and well dressed. Our model in Walnut Country Calf and Dainite soles is great for foul weather as well. There are but a handful of shoes every man must own and this gentlemen is one of them.

Viberg x Leffot Hiker

Our third Viberg hiker has arrived this one made up in Vintage Tan Calf, with brown leather laces. These boots are traditional in style and every bit as rugged and comfortable as our other models.

It’s difficult to fully appreciate the quality of the materials and hand craftsmanship that go into Viberg boots without handling and trying a pair. They’re solid, weighty, and rugged, built to stand up to the nastiest conditions and last a lifetime.

Suede Browning

Alfred Sargent’s derby shoe the Browning is particularly handsome in suede. I personally own a pair in purple and have admired them in dark brown but for our new stock line we chose snuff.

The reason is snuff suede is incredibly versatile and timeless an excellent color with dark blue, gray, and brown and perfect for any season. The Browning is a masterfully crafted shoe from the triple row stitching down to the London waist, these shoes look and feel like a million bucks.

It’s no secret we’re partial to suede. Once you get over the whole “OMG I going to ruin them” thing you begin to appreciate the warm and fuzzy way they look and feel.

Edward Green Brummell 120th Anniversay Model

To mark their 120th anniversary Edward Green has released a second limited edition shoe the Brummell. This handsome new oxford is named after the notorious Regency dandy, Beau Brummell, who now surveys their London shop from his pedestal on the other side of Jermyn Street.

George Beau Brummell, pioneered new ways to dress in Regency London, introducing not only the suit, collar and tie but a real connoisseurs sartorial spirit, which continues to inspire today. “We owe to Brummell the demonstration of how much elegant life is tied to the perfection of all human society,” was how Honoré de Balzac saw Brummell’s contribution.

The Brummell sports a medallion punch drawn from EG’s 1930s archive and is on the slim, elegant 82 last. Available in Edwardian Antique we believe the Brummell will very much appeal to today’s Sartorialist.

Each pair is marked with its own Special Edition number, and comes with 120th anniversary trees, in its own commemorative drawer box.

This new stock model in Vieux Bois, a rich burnt caramel color is extremely handsome and versatile in both style and color.
