Pierre Corthay Yawl

Pierre Corthay’s Yawl is an extremely unique penny loafer. It’s all about the details: the sharp angles, the one-of-a-kind Vieux Bois stain, the narrow last, the stitched toe, and the exaggerated tongue. This is a shoe that you have to see to believe. Our Alfred Sargent Trunk Show is tomorrow and we couldn’t be more excited. Just to whet your appetite, here’s a little taste of the large selection of samples available for viewing at the show. Trunk shows are an excellent opportunity to meet the shoemakers and view a wide selection of models in one place.

Our Alfred Sargent Trunk Show is coming up this Thursday, April 12th, and here is yet another example of their excellent craftsmanship.

Pierre Corthay Vendome

There are a lot of wingtips, but like everything Pierre Corthay makes, the Vendome wingtip is in a class of its own.

This shoe is all about angles and curves: its broguing follows winding lines from the wingtip front to the side panels to the heel counter. The Vendome’s sloping modern shape is the perfect finish to its design. Made in Bergeronette calfskin, these are unmistakably sophisticated shoes.

Quoddy Natural Boat Moc

As you probably know, we love Horween’s Natural Chromexcel leather. It’s got a great, light color, it’s durable, its dynamic, and it gets better with age. It’s no surprise that we’ve made another shoe with it.

This time around its the boat moc by Quoddy. This is a great casual shoe for the spring and summer, perfect for bare feet and exploring the outdoors. They come unlined, equipped with three brass eyelets and brown vibram soles for increased durability and comfort.

Gaziano & Girling Grosvenor

We’re excited about these new double monks strap shoes from G&G. We first set eyes on them at our trunk show last October and we knew we had to have them for our stock.

Made on the sharp square TG73 last in Midnight calfskin these babies are for rocking out in suits or jeans.

The Grosvenor is one of the newer models designed by Tony Gaziano and it will be among others on display during our upcoming trunk show April 23rd.

Alfred Sargent Portland

Alfred Sargent’s Portland, one of the styles from their Handgrade collection, is where the wingtip meets the cap toe. It’s elegant and unique toe has a chiseled, modern look, with a sleek v-shape and subtle broguing.

The austere 3-eyelet blucher lacing is both casual and refined while the tight waist  is both comfortable and sharp, almost like a bespoke shoe.

Leffot Driving Moccasins

Driving Moccasins are a sporty, modern take on the classic loafer style. We tried to embody the contemporary style of the Driving Moc with our run, made in four styles.

The Penny style, with a full strap across its front, is a smart look made in both Navy Disco and a combination of Havana and Cacao suede. The Tassel style is a new take on the classic tassel loafer, made in Snuff suede and a combination of Lavanda and Graphite.

All of these are super lightweight, flexible and extremely comfortable . They call them drivers for a reason: they’re great for travel and work perfectly without socks.

Church’s Kaber

Made in Northampton, England by Church’s & Co, these brogues have loads of style. They are a bit of a dandy shoe you might say. First re-issued in 2010, the Kaber has become a long standing fixture at our store.

Both styles, one is brown nevada calf, and another in both black pebble grain and walnut calf, are one of a kind examples of what unique and talented shoemakers can really do.

Goodyear welted on the familiar and best fitting 173 last, these shoes are sporty and dashing with flannel and corduroy pants, and work very well with jeans.
