Shoes, and Ferrari’s

The Lego Ferrari F1 Racer 1:10 has 719 pieces, working pistons & steering, is 18.5 inches in length and Lego no longer sells these in the United States. We were able to acquire a few new kits, which are now available at Leffot. I built the model pictured, which took about 6 hours. It’s for sale as is, if you don’t have the time, patience, or aptitude for building. We have only 1 new sealed kit left and once it’s gone it’s gone. That’s all folks!

These kits make great gifts for Lego builders, Ferrari enthusiasts, or for anyone that just likes to have stuff you can’t get in the U.S.

Men’s EX Features Leffot

Leffot and I are featured in the December issue of Men’s EX magazine, which is now out in Japan. It was a great honor to be chosen for this article and I thank Men’s EX very much for including Leffot in this issue.

Psycho Bunny at Leffot

We’ve just received a new delivery of Psycho Bunny cashmere scarves. This particular scarf we felt looked great paired with the J.M. Weston Chelsea boot. You may also notice a tie peaking out of the boot; we have a small selection of PB ties as well. You’ve gotta love the bunny!

Shoe Emergency

Abel is one of our best Corthay clients, last evening he came in with his Wilfrid’s and looked a little upset. He had fallen victim to the mean streets of New York; it happens. He scuffed the ball of the right shoe taking off some color.

Before

After

We went to work on it with various waxes some neutral and some color to cover the scuff. The result is greatly improved. Fortunately for Abel this was in a spot on the shoe that is very inconspicuous. With continued care this shoe will continue to age beautifully.

Vote Today, Vote Smart

Get Out and Vote

Tomorrow is Election Day in the U.S. and it is anticipated to be one of the largest turnouts in decades. That means prepare for long lines, be patient and wear comfortable footwear. Sure you could wear sneakers but I feel carrying out my civic duty deserves a more respectful appearance. I’ll be wearing my Church’s Grafton’s.

You might say, but they’re made in England not very patriotic. You would be correct, however I can stand for hours in them because of the support and double leather soles that give me that much more between the floor and the bottom of my feet.

My point is regardless of what you wear the important thing is to make your vote count, it’s your country, your duty and your right.

Shoes I’m Wearing Today

Today feels like a loafer kind of day, after the time change everyone seems to be moving rather leisurely. So today I’m wearing the Edward Green “Bamford” in Coffee Suede. It’s soft, light and good looking what more can you ask for?

Tony Gaziano Pays Visit to Leffot

Tony Gaziano of Gaziano & Girling popped in for an unexpected visit yesterday. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with him.

He is in NY to show his Bespoke collection at the Loews Regency Hotel. Feel free to contact Tony for an appointment. He is also here to run in the ING New York City Marathon on Sunday (his first), I hope you lovers of G&G shoes go out and cheer him on.

Tony was wearing a wicked pair of bespoke shoes that I photographed to share with you. These shoes get better with age.

The Reverso

The name of this model the “Reverso” comes from the reversed stitching on the toecap. This burgundy color oxford by Aubercy has seen an up tick of late. I think it has to do with the color which, is beautiful and then, the fit. The reaction of clients that slip a pair of Aubercy on for the first time is fun to watch. It’s a look of amazement that a shoe right out of the box is so light and comfortable. “They feel like slippers” is a typical refrain.
