It’s no secret we love suede around here. We’re equally in love with the Edward Green Westminster double monkstrap shoe. Now for the first time we are stocking the Westminster in dark rich Mink suede on the 82 last.
To be honest I always saw this shoe as a perfect model for the 888 (square toe) last but I have to say this shoe is a refreshing revelation. In addition we added a double leather sole that lends a certain air of authority.
Westminster, 82 Last, Mink Suede, HAF Soles
The double monk strap shoe is a very interesting shoe to look at, both impressive in its simplicity and individual in its construction. Despite the strong presence of the shoe’s design, Gaziano and Girling has managed to make a very distinctive shoe with their Grosvenor.
Made in deep and rich Vintage Rioja with a brogued medallion on the toe and a chiseled, more-continental last, the Grosvenor stands apart as a shoe of its own. Its perfect for suits and slacks, and can even be worn with jeans with the right ensemble.
