Wildsmith Bloomsbury Loafers

Wildsmith was founded in 1847 in England by Matthew and Rebecca Wildsmith, and quickly gained a reputation for making fine footwear. Their quality and attention to detail earned them clientele such as John F. Kennedy, Prince Charles, and Cary Grant. The new era of Wildsmith is still made in Northampton in the tradition of Wildsmith past. Just as we’ve introduced other brands in the past, we’re the first to carry Wildsmith here in the US.

The Bloomsbury loafer was derived from a shoe originally designed for King George VI to wear around the house. It’s an iconic and timeless style that’s been copied by many. These come unlined, which makes them very comfortable for bare feet this summer and beyond. They’re the perfect casual shoe, but still dressy enough for a suit.

“You are either in your bed or in your shoes, so it pays to invest in both.” —John Wildsmith
