April 24 – 25
10 am – 6 pm
Hiro Yanagimachi joins us this week and next for our annual MTO trunk show. For those unfamiliar with Hiro, he is a master shoemaker, based in Tokyo. He moved to England in 1995, where he graduated first in his class from the prestigious London’s Cordwainer’s College. He then learned the techniques of bespoke shoemaking at John Lobb.
Upon returning to Japan, Hiro started his own brand in 1999. The rest is history.
Hiro is an extraordinary, meticulous craftsman in the fine tradition of English style and shoemaking.
This is a very special trunk show and Hiro’s only visit to the U.S. this year. He’ll be in New York April 21st and 22nd, and Chicago April 24th and 25th. As a shoe enthusiast, I’m certain you will find the shoes and Hiro most interesting.
We’re excited to introduce Hiro’s shoes to the American market. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this very special event.
