Shell Cordovan may be Alden’s best known specialty, but they work beautifully with a wide variety of suedes and calfskins as well. One of our favorites is the burnished tan calf, a surprisingly soft and lightweight leather that we’ve used with a number of our styles.
It’s a very versatile color, great for spring but useful year round, perfect for denim as well as khakis, slacks, or a casual suit. The tan color will darken and build character with age, developing a deep and rich patina over the years.
We’ve just received two restocks in the burnished tan: the Atom Blucher and the George Boot. Both are versatile styles that can easily be dressed up or down.

There’s something about Alden and wingtips that is inexplicable. Our Greenwich boots are a favorite among fans of both genres. The newest interpretation is one we think you’re bound to like.
This boot is made on the Barrie last in Burnished Tan calfskin a warm chestnut color that is ultra versatile. To complete the detailing we went with nine brown agatine eyelets, 360-degree pre-stitch reverse welt on double waterlock soles what more can we say?
Just this, in our humble opinion a more wearable boot would be hard to find.

Our latest Alden make up is just the ticket for spring. These handsome monk-strap boots are made in buttery soft burnished tan calfskin, what a great color and feel.
We wanted these boots “Made Expressly for Leffot” to have the ability to dress up a bit which is why we commissioned them on the Plaza last Alden’s soft square toe. These are perfect with gray and navy worsted wool and of course as always, dark denim.
