Alden of New England has perfected the use of shell cordovan in making the LWB. One of the ways they do that is by using cordovan tanned only by Horween Leather Company in Chicago, Illinois. It is with this cordovan that we designed our Color 8 Longwing Blucher made expressly for Leffot.
The Alden Tanker aka NST boot in Horween Color 8 shell cordovan is an incredibly beautiful, versatile, and durable shoe. With commando soles and handsewn split toe, it’s both aesthetically pleasing and highly practical. Wear these with anything from jeans to a sport coat, and you’ll look sharp and comfortable year round.
We have some good news for those of you who missed out on our earlier supply of the Alden x Leffot Black Naval Boot: a full run is now back in stock.
Black shell cordovan really doesn’t get the love it deserves. It has a lacquered glow that you can only truly appreciate in person, and yet it maintains its shine with little care or maintenance.
These Horween Shell Cordovan boots are a versatile addition to your wardrobe that spans from jeans to a navy or grey suit. Their classic, simple design, reminiscent of vintage US Naval boots, makes them a three-season workhorse, made expressly for Leffot.
The double leather black bottom soles, with a 360-degree flat welt, enhance the boot’s simplicity while adding durability and comfort. Designed with nine black agatine eyelets and black waxed laces these boots are spit-shined and ready to serve.
The loafer is the best style of shoe for summer, hands down. They are easy to put on when you just want to take a stroll outside, they can be worn easily without socks, and they expose your ankle to the breeze to keep your feet cool. If you’re looking to add a lightweight flexible loafer to your wardrobe this season, you owe it to yourself to consider the Leffot Ivy.
Moccasin constructed from unlined shell cordovan, they cradle your foot while being light, flexible, and comfortable. With a little aging, this unlined shoe will mold to your feet, developing an individual character of its own. The simple design allows the deep shine of the leather to resonate in the subtle folds of the toe and wide expanse of the shoe’s unadorned vamp.
Our Ivy Loafers are made exclusively for Leffot by the good folks at Rancourt & Co. Lewiston, Maine. The Genuine Horween shell cordovan is meticulously sewn by hand. They’re back in stock in Espresso, and we’ve added two new colors, Red and Whiskey. They’re also available in Black, Navy, Natural, Color 8, and Green.
Unlined shell cordovan loafers are not easily found. We think you’ll agree these may well be the perfect shoes for spring and summer wear.
There are plain toe boots, there are wingtip boots and then there’s the Alden x Leffot Naval boot. New to Leffot in color 8 shell cordovan this boot is inspired by our original model in black shell.
Made to our specifications, we detailed these on the Barrie last with nine matching agatine eyelets, double leather soles, flat welt, antique edges and a classic 2 x 1 perforated captoe. This boot is as clean as a whistle and sure to be a staple in any wardrobe.
The Edward Green Ullswater is one of the styles in EG’s Lake collection. The name is derived from Lake Ullswater, which many describe as the most beautiful of the English lakes. The heavy country brogue design of this shoe is meant for country terrain.
Even though we’re city folks we commissioned EG to make the Ullswater in Horween navy crup (shell cordovan) for two reasons. We love the combination of brogue wingtips in crup and we love the way EG works with the material.
They make as clean a shell shoe as you will find. Couple that with the incredible EG fit and comfort and you have a shoe that will wear for a good 20 years.
