Corthay trunk show, April 30 and May 1

Corthay trunk show, April 30 and May 1

We cordially invite you to join us for a trunk show with Corthay on April 30 and May 1 from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm.

Corthay is arguably one of France’s most dynamic shoemakers; his shoes are elegant and ultra sophisticated, like small works of art. He began his shoemaking career at Les Compagnons du Tour de France, a venerable crafts guild. He later worked for John Lobb Paris before taking over as atelier head at Berluti. In 1990 he struck out on his own and has not looked back.

In 2010 he was awarded the honor of “Master of Art” by the government of France and creates shoes that are simply genius. The Master of Art designation of France, while not widely known in the States, is not bestowed lightly. In short, it means that the individual or firm is a cultural icon.

Spring 2014 Trunk Shows

Believe it or not, spring will be here next month, and for us at Leffot that means trunk shows. We organize trunk shows with our vendors twice a year. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the shoemakers or their representatives who are extremely knowledgeable about their products. It is also an excellent chance to see first hand many sample styles.

Our spring schedule of shows kicks off early next month when Phillip Car of Saint Crispin’s visits to help you choose the perfect fit, leather, and last for your Saint Crispin’s shoes. Dean Girling from Gaziano & Girling and Pierre Corthay of Corthay will also be here later this spring. You can check out the dates for the rest of our fall shows HERE. We’ll be posting more dates once they’ve been confirmed.

Corthay Arca

The ever elegant and versatile Arca by Pierre Corthay is now available in Aubergine and Black calf with red piping. Without doubt the quintessential Corthay model, the Arca is stylish and sophisticated, utterly genius in its simplicity, and fits like a glove. If you buy one pair of Corthay shoes this year, you won’t go wrong if it’s an Arca.

Corthay Gator MTO

Pierre Corthay’s shoes are not for the faint of heart, and these Arca Monkstraps are no exception. The simple design, meticulous execution, and use of exquisite materials sets Corthay in a class of his own. A client of ours had these made up in gator skin, and since they’re so gorgeous and unique, we felt we had to share them with you. Another shoe like this would be hard to find.
