Edward Green offers a variety of options when creating a pair of custom made shoes or boots. First, select the model you’d like to create, whether it’s the classic Chelsea captoe oxford or the RAF-inspired Kentmere boot. Next, choose the last — or the shape — you prefer, and pair it with the leather and soles of your choice.

Edward Green’s offerings are strictly made to order. That is, the fit is not customizable. They do not offer bespoke shoes or fit adjustments. That said, we find Edward Greens fit the majority of our customers very well.

Cut by hand from the world’s finest leathers, each pair of Edward Greens is made in our Northampton workshop according to the same principles that have guided us for over a century. Crafted and honed with unerring attention to detail our shoes embody the timeless elegance of quintessentially English style.

We're still based in Northampton and have over sixty skilled artisans making around 350 pairs of shoes a week, many for export to the world's leading boutiques and department stores as well as our own shops in  London and Paris.

We continue to strive to make the best shoes possible, refining and improving where appropriate, but always taking  our time to ensure that each pair of shoes is fit to bear our founder’s  name and dress another generation of men who appreciate the difference.

The Galway is an iconic English country boot, yet quite urbane by today&rsquo;s standards. Edward Green has produced the style since at least the 1930s, when they were the leading maker of officers&rsquo; boots for the British military.
Today they glide easily between dress and casual occasions. Boots don&rsquo;t have to be rugged to get the job done, but they do need to be well made, and Edward Green makes them as good as they get.

Galway

The Camden is an ankle-height chelsea that is perhaps the ultimate casual boot. They&rsquo;re the epitome of modern, understated style &mdash; easy to slip on, and pair well with just about anything. We particularly like them in suede or utah.

The Banbury is a classic three-eyelet chukka by Edward Green. Understated and practical, they can be made in endless variations, with Ridgeway soles for the winter or slim rubber soles for summer. We recommend the 202 and 82 lasts for the Banbury.
