Corthay — New York
Postponed
Update, September 7: Our trunk show with Corthay has been postponed until further notice. We will update this page when we’ve rescheduled the show.
Corthay is arguably one of France’s most dynamic shoemakers. His shoes are elegant and sophisticated, like small works of art. He began his shoemaking career at Les Compagnons du Tour de France, a venerable crafts guild. He later worked for John Lobb Paris before taking over as atelier head at Berluti. In 1990 he struck out on his own and has not looked back.
In 2010 he was awarded the honor of “Master of Art” by the government of France. The Master of Art designation of France, while not widely known in the US, is not bestowed lightly. In short, it means that the individual or firm is a cultural icon.
Appointments are available in our New York store or virtually.
