Stefano Bemer founded his atelier in 1983 in Florence and quickly became respected for his elegant, exacting craftsmanship. Over the years he trained scores of young shoemakers, passing along the tradition of bespoke shoemaking to the next generation. After Stefano’s passing in 2012, Tommaso Melani continued the name and tradition, expanding the offerings to ready-to-wear, with a vision to offer the virtues of bespoke without the price.
Stefano Bemer shoes are made by hand in Florence, Italy, with exacting attention to detail. A variety of leathers are available, ranging from traditional calfskins and shell cordovan to elephant, hippo, shark, and other exotics, all done in the singular Stefano Bemer style.
